I was lucky enough to see Carla Zampatti, which was the opening show for Fashion Week Australia. Obviously I was not front row (I was actually standing up the back) but none the less, it was an amazing experience to see my first live show.

A centre row of lights, in a dim room, set the scene for the opening look. Her collection was based around black and white looks, with bright, bold evening wear, adding colour to the collection. Her designs were sleek and simple, but weren't under-done. As you would all know I am addicted to monochrome at the moment, so I obviously loved all the black and white looks. Maybe a few were too girly for my own tastes- particularly the bridal looking white gowns, but I still thought they were pretty darn nice.

My highlight of the show was seeing all the front-rowers. Susie Bubble, Gary Pepper, Margaret Zhang, and loads of other cool ladies amongst the isles. And I must admit, I did get quite excited when I spotted Paula Abdul ;)
